 Choosing the right Teacher!

 If you are thinking about starting Instrumental or Vocal music lessons it is important that you ensure that the teacher you contact is going to offer a quality service to you.  There are a number of Instrumental/Vocal teachers who opporate as freelance teachers.  We strongly recommend that you undertake your research to ensure that you get the right teacher to teach you.  For further information, click here. 

Swindon Borough Council, through its Music Service, offers an Approved Instrumental / Vocal Music Teacher scheme for those teaching in Swindon Schools.

Swindon Music Service offers a range of tuition in schools and more information can be gained from each individual school. 

 In addition, you can apply for a variety of lessons at the newly formed Central Music School.

Purchasing your own instrument

If you  are being taught by one of the Local Authority quality Approved Teachers (see list under SCHOOLS, Approved Teachers) then you may be eligible to but a new instument from from VAT.  For more information, and an application form, click here.

Instruments

If your child attends a Swindon Borough Council School, for as little as £13.08p per term, three terms per year, you can hire instruments from us. Or if you are a little more daring, you can hire an 'endangered species' instrument for just £20 per year! See the special offers for more details.

Music

We have in store thousands of pieces of music which can be hired from us. Anything from individual pieces to full orchestra scores. Visit the sheet music library to see what is available.
